Diane Addison Hayes who is now the Managing Care Coordinator at Jewel Care Home was absolutely instrumental in caring for my father, John Christian. I will never forget the kind and attentive care that she put into taking care of my father, especially during hospice. Cancer is a beast and can be an excruciating experience for the patient and unbearable to watch for their loved ones.
Yet, the comfort I received from watching Diane work wonders to make sure my Father’s medication was in order and given timely according to an organized chart system she had in place. The care she took in moving his body around from time to time to make sure he was comfortable, ensuring he was well-nourished, keeping him clean from top to bottom, making sure he was warm and giving him attentive care round-the-clock was exceptional. I watched her care for my dad as if he was her own father. In my absence, she did everything that I was unable to do.
What impressed me the most, is as my father’s condition inevitably progressed and he was no longer able to speak or communicate for himself, Diane became even more attentive! So if she extends this type of care to those who have become incoherent, I only imagine how she cares for those who are alert.
Choosing a place for our Loved Ones can be one of the most important decisions we will make for them and we must make sure they are in the best care possible. I applaud Diane and her team for opening their very own facility, Jewell Care Home! A facility unlike any other in the area. It seems as though they have went to great lengths to make sure their facility is superb in design so that it truly feels home. Honestly, I would venture to say more like a vacation resort with extended family members.
Undoubtedly the 20+ years of experience will bring many rewards to their patients. I’ve known the Care Facility Administrator, Monica Hayes-Ralh to be kind, caring and extremely professional! I’m certain she is exceptional in her ability to take care of every detail in assisting the family member’s administrative needs.
I can not say enough about the excellent care given to my father. Now an established facility, I’d highly recommend this clean, well organized and caring HOME.
